What I can help with
-
Business laptop and PC setup
New device for yourself or a member of staff? I'll set it up properly. Windows, Office 365, email accounts, printers, and any business software you need, so it's ready to use from day one.
-
Office WiFi and networking
Slow or unreliable WiFi in your business premises causes real problems. I'll assess your setup, identify the weak points, and find practical solutions that work within your space and budget.
-
Microsoft 365 setup and support
Email, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive. I'll set up Microsoft 365 for your business, migrate existing email if needed, and make sure everything is configured correctly across all your devices.
-
Email setup and troubleshooting
Business email on laptops, phones, and tablets, set up correctly so it syncs properly across devices and doesn't end up in spam. I'll also help if existing email has stopped working or isn't syncing.
-
Data backup for businesses
Many small businesses have no proper backup in place until something goes wrong. I'll set up a reliable backup system, cloud, local, or both, so your business data is protected.
-
Ad-hoc support and fixes
Something's stopped working and you need it fixed today? I'll come out as quickly as I can and get you back up and running. No lengthy support contracts required.
Small businesses in Falkirk often don’t need a full managed IT service. They need someone reliable they can call when something stops working, or to set things up properly in the first place. That’s exactly what I offer.
What small business IT support looks like in practice
Most small business tech problems fall into a handful of categories.
Setup: a new laptop that needs configuring for work, Microsoft 365 that needs setting up across multiple devices, a printer that needs to work from the desk and from a mobile, business email that needs setting up correctly on phones and tablets. Getting this right at the start prevents a lot of problems later.
WiFi and networking: many small business premises have WiFi that was set up years ago and has never been reviewed. Coverage gaps, slow speeds, and a single router trying to do too much are common. I’ll assess what you have and suggest practical, cost-effective improvements.
Fixes: something stops working and needs sorting today. Email that’s stopped syncing, a laptop that won’t connect to the printer, a system that’s running slowly and holding up work. I’ll come out as quickly as I can and get you back up and running.
Honest, local, and available
I don’t do lengthy contracts or charge for things you don’t need. If a problem is outside my scope I’ll tell you straight away and point you in the right direction rather than billing you for time spent going in circles.
I cover small business IT support across Falkirk and the surrounding area, including Grangemouth, Larbert, Bo’ness, Linlithgow, and Denny. Call 07944 156 453 or message on WhatsApp. 7 days a week, 8am–6pm.
Common questions
Not currently. My service is on a flexible, pay-per-visit basis. This suits most small businesses better than a contract, as you only pay when you need help.
Sole traders, small shops, tradespeople, and businesses up to around ten staff. I'm not set up for large corporate networks, but for small local businesses I can handle most day-to-day IT needs.
I can help with general setup and connectivity, but specialist POS or industry-specific software is often best supported by its own vendor. I'll let you know honestly what's within my scope before starting.
I charge £50 per hour with no call-out fee. For larger setup jobs I'm happy to give an estimate of how long things are likely to take before you commit.
