Getting your smart TV working properly
Most smart TVs do more than people realise. Beyond just Netflix and BBC iPlayer, a well-set-up smart TV can give you access to dozens of streaming services, catchup TV, YouTube, and music apps. The trick is getting it connected reliably and knowing where to find everything.
I’ll connect your TV to your home WiFi, sign into your streaming accounts, and give you a quick tour so you know how to get to what you want. If your TV keeps dropping the connection or buffering, I’ll diagnose the network issue and sort it.
Setting up smart speakers and smart home devices
Smart speakers like Amazon Echo and Google Nest are genuinely useful once they’re set up correctly. Out of the box, many people find them confusing. I’ll get yours connected, linked to your music account if you have one, and show you the most useful things you can ask it.
If you have smart plugs, smart bulbs, or other connected home devices, I can set those up too and make sure everything is working through a single app.
Video doorbell installation
A video doorbell lets you see who’s at your door from your phone, whether you’re in the kitchen or away from home. I’ll mount it in the right position, connect it to your WiFi, and set up the app on your phone so notifications arrive reliably. Ring and Nest are the brands I work with most often.
